The National Medical Commission (NMC) has refused to consider CPS Medical PG Courses, according to NMC the CPS institutes and course recognition does not fall under it. However, NMC has asked the existing CPS institutes to apply for NBE diploma courses as per the defined guideline. On July 14, Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) published notice no. MED-1023/CR 37/23/EDU-2, for exercising de-recognition of CPS courses from the Schedule of the Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965. However, this shall not be applicable to the candidates who have been admitted to the above-mentioned courses prior to the publication of this notification. Also, candidates who have already qualified under the Schedule prior to this gazette and to whom such diploma/s or fellowships have been awarded, shall not be barred from registration or renewal of registration with the Council.
