Overview
The Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider (CACP) is a voluntary certification of anticoagulation providers, endorsed by National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers (NCBAP). The CACP examination syllabus include Applied Pathophysiology of Thromboembolic Disease, Patient Assessment and Management, Patient Education, Applied Pharmacology of Antithrombotic Agents, and Operational (Administrative) Procedures. It is designed and intended for practitioners whose primary role as an anti-coagulation provider includes systematic, organized, and on-going patient education and therapeutic management in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
