Doctor of Medicine (MD)

In some countries, an MD, or Doctor of Medicine, is often considered equivalent to an MBBS. The course usually lasts five years and delves into medical knowledge, clinical skills, and research, aiming to develop expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions. So, in the U.S., an MD is roughly equivalent to an MBBS in terms of initial medical qualification, but in other parts of the world, an MD can refer to advanced specialization training after an MBBS.
